Homeschooling Black kids is not just about educating a child or children within the confines of their home. It is also about teaching Black kids that they matter, that they have the ability and the capacity to do amazing things. It is about teaching them to love themselves and building their confidence and self worth rather than putting them in a school system which may do the exact opposite.

Venus and Serena Williams were homeschooled, most likely because of their tennis careers but the video below shows that their father (and mother) also instilled confidence in them and was not willing to let anyone persuade them that they should not be confident in their abilities.
